Mindset Hacks to Get Your "Progress" in Check

If you’re feeling frustrated because it seems like everyone around you is having the best year of their life (especially success in their business) -- yet here you are trying to figure out why it hasn't happened for you...or if it even will, then this post is for you.

This is a frustrating place to be, especially when you are starting out. One day I would be in the trenches carrying out my vision, and next I’d see “success” all around me -- and out of nowhere I'd become insecure. I'd doubt my vision, and doubt if I was good enough to carry it out, because everyone else was “wayyyyy ahead of me”.

Are Your #Goals Really #Envy?

If I'm being all the way real, I used to HATE these posts. But I didn't want to be seen as a hater -- so I would say #goals and carry on with my scrolling. They really were goals though -- who doesn’t want a 6+ figure business, leave their day job, retire their spouse to work for them and whatever else, right? ...but later in the day it’s a guarantee I would be annoyed thinking HOW is this their life?! I have the business degrees, I have put in the work, when is it my turn...[insert tiny violin playing]

One day I was scrolling and caught myself just as I was about to roll my eyes, and asked Why? Why does this bother me so much?

What Story Are You Telling Yourself?

When you sit back and look at the motives behind why you do what you do -- the short answer is the same -- *cue Drake & Trey* "I just want to be successful"

Pretty much? We want to be successful. Whether it's as the smart and savvy business person, the transformational coach, the best selling author, or the most amazingly talented whatever. We believe, this identity, this goal, this feat is the ticket.

And it's not.

The problem is it takes more than wanting success to get it. It even takes more than "thinking" you know how you are going to get it (career field included). The hard work and daily grind is only half the battle. Your mindset is the other part. It's really that deep. @@No matter how hard you work, you can not out hustle a lack mindset.@@ You will eventually have to tackle and master what's in your head.

3 Reasons Why You May Not Be an Entrepreneur

If you don’t know by now, I’m huge on business education. I see (almost) everything through the lens of business. From return on investments vs. opportunity costs -- for things like going to the gym vs. binge watching 6 seasons of Private Practice.

The social media space is deviating away from some of the most critical concepts of business. I’m not suggesting we return stone ages and ignore any forward progression -- but some wheels do not need to be reinvented.

I market largely to “entrepreneurs” because that's the sexy buzzword being used -- rather than an always appropriate association. But since I have you here, I am going to teach you what it is for once and for all. In certain spaces the difference still matters, and I don’t want you to risk your credibility because social media set you up.

How to Create a 404 Page That Converts

When we think websites, we think the main pages: home, about, contact, services etc. Maybe even a specialty page like a resume, or extra features like the sidebar. What if I told you there are a set of pages and elements that go overlooked but are prime for redirecting and converting customers. Well, there are, and if you aren’t utilizing them you are missing out on prime opportunities to make money, build brand loyalty and engage with your audience. The most important and often forgotten pages, the 404 Error/Page Not Found.

What Is The Overall Goal of Mindfulness

Taking time to actively make space for "doing nothing" is not easy for anyone. It is especially tough for active, achieving people to just sit quietly and “do nothing”, to engage in practice and behaviors that do not produce tangible results.

The basic nature of the mind is to dwell in the past or to worry about the future. Our uneasiness about what’s to come is actually our strategy to prepare for the future – our mind’s ingenious way of ensuring that we’re equipped to survive. Without such readiness, the mind can’t prepare the body to thrive and survive.
